Moda Sampler Shuffle Week 2

So sorry for the delay...I scheduled the post but didn't do it correctly.

It is time for week two photos...but first let's recap...here are the first weeks blocks.

You will also want to work on your flying geese for the finishing border. We suggest you make 4 sets each week to stay on track. The method we like for making flying geese give you 4 blocks at one time, visit Sewn Wild Oaks blog and click on virtual classroom for more info. Lynn's instructions have you making the blocks oversize and then trimming them to the correct size using the Bloc Loc Flying Geese Ruler that is 1 1/2 x 3 (finished). The bellys will need to be cut 4 1/2" square and the sides 2 1/2" square.

Okay so now you are ready for Blocks 4, 5, 6. Download them and be sure to share your blocks on our instagram @inbetweenstitches1, #ibsmodashuffle, #modasamplershuffle Block 5 uses a different method for making half square triangles (than we usually use, due to the instructions being designed "jelly roll friendly") See this page for details. If you are wanting to make half square triangles using the "usual method" you can cut the squares 2 7/8" or oversize cut them 3" and trim up to 2 1/2".

Have fun making these blocks! We will post the next blocks next Monday morning.
